Josh has been practicing law since 2008. A former felony prosecutor, he cut his legal teeth in the courtroom before joining Berner Law Group, where he practices exclusively family law. His background as a prosecutor informs a disciplined, trial-ready approach that positions his clients for strength from the outset of every case.

Josh is known for forceful, strategic advocacy in high-conflict matters. He is relentless in protecting his clients’ rights and interests, while remaining focused on efficient, cost-effective resolutions when achievable. When conflict is unavoidable, Josh is fully prepared to take an aggressive stand through motion practice, arbitration, or trial. Josh earned his Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law, graduating cum laude, and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington. He is also a veteran, having interrupted his education to serve in the United States Army as an infantry sergeant with the 101st Airborne Division following the events of September 11, 2001.
